It's really human of you to listen to all my bullshit.

I just discovered what might be one of the most fabulous blogs ever: Stuck in the '80s. What, you don't agree? Well, phooey. See, I am a big fan of everything '80s. I grew up during the '80s. When I was 8 and I was watching John Hughes films, I couldn't wait to grow up and be a cool teenager like the ones in the movies, and have life experiences like the ones in Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club. I eventually grew up of course, and I'm still waiting for my life to be that exciting, and fun, and sugar-coated. So that's where my love of everything '80s stems from.

In light of that, there was this video posted on that site - I've watched it twice already. It features clips from some of my favorite '80s movies, all set to the tune of one of my favorite '80s songs. Enjoy, dudes!

We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all.

Damn three posts in one day! Clearly, I'm making up for lost time.

Ok I was tagged by Meg on this one - and Lord knows I love me a meme. So here goes:

Six Weird Things About Me
(You ready?? Because I really am weird...)

1. I have a weather/dressing chart - it breaks down temperature categories by season and indicates what to wear for each category. It has taken me years to perfect, but I can proudly say that I am comfortable temperature-wise in my daily outfits. Yes, I realize this is slightly OCD.

2. I don't ever put milk in my cereal.

3. Speaking of cereal, I totally heart cereal dust (you know...the crap at the bottom of the box when all the actual cereal is done).

4. I love doing laundry. I'm slightly obsessive about how I do my laundry, too.

5. I love the smell of gasoline and magic markers.

6. Whenever I hear I Will Follow You Into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie, I can't help tearing up - primarily because I think of Pup.

I have to tag 6 people here, according to the instructions, so here goes - just tell me 6 weird things about yourself - have fun!! I'm tagging AB (you have to have some weird crap to share...), Cubicle Hell, (c'mon, update your freaking blog!!!), Wendy, FY, Sadie, and Sheila! Ok, going to bed...yea I KNOW it's not even 10pm - but I'm exhausted!!!!!

It's not who you go with, honey. It's who takes you home.

This past weekend was the Law School Prom; and what a prom it was! First of all, my dress was absolutely fabu, if I don't say so myself. It was just perfect, and I was in love with it. Everyone looked so nice, and it was super fun to see everyone just having a good time. I enjoyed myself more this year than last year, I think. It probably has to do with just being more comfortable in my "law school skin" this year than I was last year. Maybe I've just matured a little bit - whatever it was, it worked, and Hubby and I had a really nice time. The only damper to the situation was that I was recovering from a nasty UTI, and the antibiotic that I was taking made me oh-so-nauseous. So unfortch, I had to pass on most of the alcohol. Oh well - at least I was still able to have a prom-rockin' time!

Now it's back to the grind...I am quite pleased to report that next week I'm all done with the torture job of the spring semester! Woo hoo!! I am counting down the days as if Christmas was coming. Besides the obvious about that place, I really just need to free up my time to work on my outlines and my appellate advocacy brief, and all that other good stuff.

In other news, I have some very BIG news (well, big for me anyway) - I have officially pioneered a chapter of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund at my school!!!!! I have been working on this with a couple of other students for months now, and all our efforts are finally paying off. I am trying to hold an informational/general interest meeting in April, so of course everything is super hectic - wish me luck!!!!! :-)

The Bunnies Are Here!

Shameless plug, but I really like my friend over at this store :-) Plus, who doesn't love some good chocolate candy??

The bunnies are here! Easter is Sunday April 8th and right around the corner. Visit Van Holten's to see bunnies ranging from very small to a full 3 feet tall.
All made of pure homemade milk chocolate. Many also available in dark and white chocolate. Shop early for the best selection.

Other items available but not yet listed on our site are coconut, vanilla and peanut butter cream eggs. Also fruit and nut eggs in addition to jelly beans and much, much more.

Are You Fcking Kidding Me??

This article just pissed me off in the worst way - South Carolina is apparently trying to pass this ridiculous bill that would make a woman trying to get an abortion LOOK AT AN ULTRASOUND FIRST. Give me a break!! You know, for most women, making that decision is not something that is taken lightly. The LAST thing a woman in that position needs is to have her nose further rubbed in what she is about to do - which is what this bill sets out to do. I'm disgusted. What's next?? Is Roe v. Wade going to be reversed?? Is that what all this hubbub seeks to accomplish?????

I can't believe this. They fking forgot my birthday.

With all the Spring Break fanfare, I completely forgot - that my blog turned one this past week! So happy birthday to moi!

I'm on vaca the rest of the week, my friends! Actually, I've been away on vaca since Thursday, but I've been fortunate enough to have had a cushy hotel set up with internet access. However, as of tomorrow, no more until the end of the week.

Until then, I leave you all with a new fun site to check out, that happens to be operated by a friend of mine: AB on Parade. Make sure you stop by and check him out. Don't you just love a shameless plug??

Ciao!
