I don't know what to say, except it's Christmas and we're all in misery.

Well, it's come and gone, and I suppose I'm relieved, if nothing else. There was In-Law Drama, as always, and thankfully it will be a full year before we have to relive the torture that has become Christmastime at our house.
I love my family, and it's always great when they're around, but it's the In-Laws that really put a damper on things. So that's why I'm glad that it's over and done with.

In other, more fascinating news - I saw Rocky Balboa, and had to post a quick review. I absolutely LOVED it. Keep in mind, however, that I'm a big Rocky fan. I think the Rocky movies, well...ROCK; but I really went into this one with low expectations because Stallone is much older now, and I just didn't think that he could pull it off; but boy, was I wrong. Everything came together so nicely, and the feel was just right, the outcome was just right - the movie was great. It really gave closure to the saga. If you're not a Rocky fan, I wouldn't bother to go see this one in theaters, but if you are - well, I wouldn't miss it.

Moments before zero hour, it did not pay to take chances

Dear Santa:

In case you are at a loss as to what to bring me this year, perhaps I can offer a suggestion.

I promise I won't shoot my eye out...unless......well...........

Kickin' It Back to '97

Butterflyfish posted this on 1993, and I sat there and read the tunes while being filled with memories of my freshman year of high school. So of course, I had to do it too. Here's how it works:

1. Go to pop culture madness, and find the greatest hits for the year you turned 18 (1997 for me).

2. Bold the ones you like (I made the ones I LOVED pink), make tiny the ones you hate, italicize the ones you are familiar with but neither like nor hate, leave the ones you don't know as is.

Have fun down 1997 memory lane. I sure did.

The Grinch Who Stole Hubby

First of all, I would like to announce that I am officially halfway done with law school. That is, of course, given that I got at least a C- or better on all of my finals. Considering how I felt as I left each and every one, that's not so much a given; but regardless, it's over and done with, and now the only thing to do is sit and wait until the professors decide to get around to grading the exams. And posting the grades. All of which I will not hold my breath for.

All that aside, I'm super happy to get my life back; but now that Christmas is a mere nine days away, it's time for Hubby to become the Christmas Grinch.

You see, it's not that Hubby hates Christmas per se, actually. The problem is that Hubby's family has utter hatred and loathing for me, therefore we are the black sheep of his family. As a result, no one wants to see us for Christmas (or any other time of the year for that matter, but I suppose for him it's most acute during Christmas-time).

Now before you go all judging and whatnot, let it not go unknown that we have tried (and yes, I HAVE TRIED), to amend things with this group of haters, really to no avail. So I don't try anymore. However, while I could care less, and in fact makes my Christmas quite merry indeed to not have to deal with any in-laws whatsoever, I cannot say the same for Hubby. Not only does he have to deal with HIS in-laws, but he also has to deal with the sad situation of his family not caring to see him on Christmas of all days.

So today seems to be the start of Cranky-Pants Hubby - the Hubby that proclaims hating the holidays, but he really doesn't, it's just because his family sucks and doesn't realize that he's totally awesome. Am I a pill? Of course I am; but if Hubby likes me, then they should at least pretend to like me too.

Now, who stole the last can of Who Hash??!?!?

The End Of a VERY Long Day

Honestly, I can't believe my last post was a week ago. I can't believe it because the last seven days have felt like one really long, loooonng day.

I have spent every single one of those days in the Law Library for a substantial amount of time. I don't want to complain about it anymore, because I just can't, and no one wants to hear it anyway. What I DO want to talk about, however, is how at this time tomorrow it's all going to be over. Regardless of how I did (and I hope it was at least ok - I don't need great or good, just ok), I get to have reprieve for a little while. And it's going to rock.

And speaking of rocking, I can't wait to have a drink tomorrow. Or two. Or ten.

It's not a good night unless I wake up in a hospital in restraints. Ha.

Home stretch, baby....I can almost see the finish line.

I'm Not Gonna Do What Everyone Thinks I'm Gonna Do...

...Which is just....FLIP OUT....

Ok, Corporations is over. I'm still here.

But my brain? Not so much. Today's pic pretty much sums it up.

Tomorrow...back to Hell, er, the Law Library.

Boo.

Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here

That's what it should say at the entrance of my school.

Where has Lawnut been, you ask (or not)? Hell. Hades. The Law Library.

Tomorrow is my Corporations exam and I've already cried twice. I'm not nearly ready. I don't know what to do and there is nothing that can stop the hell train from running me down tomorrow at noon. Sure maybe you think it's dumb that I cried. Shit, I kind of think it's dumb too; but exams really stress me out, especially when they're really hard, really weighted, really closed-book exams on topics that I'm really feeling shaky about. So whatever. Go ahead, laugh. I can't wait until the next time I'm really able to laugh.

Ugh........

Here's hoping I can manage to get up and keep going.
